01 · Prenatal Care
Thorough and personalized — built around you, not a clock.
- Schedule
- Monthly until 28 weeks, every two weeks until 36 weeks, weekly after that.
- Visit length
- 30 minutes to an hour, with no wait time.
- Testing
- Labs are done in-house; ultrasounds are by outside referral.
- What's covered
- Nutrition, education, and counseling; breastfeeding and labor support; comfort measures and optimal fetal positioning; local resources; family involvement; postpartum planning; and a full review of every lab and ultrasound.
02 · Labor & Birth
At the birth center, or in your own home.
- Setting
- Birth center or home — water birth is available in both. Each birth suite is warm and inviting, giving you the privacy to give birth while being supported, protected, heard, comforted, and respected.
- Timing
- We attend births between 37 and 42 weeks.
- Labor Day
- Partners are encouraged to be hands-on throughout the birthing process. Your midwife, birth assistants, and doula (should you choose to have one) support effective ways to manage and cope with labor — massage, heating pads, warm shower or tub baths, cold applications, nourishment, varying positions, emotional support, relaxation, and breathing techniques. We honor the Golden Hour.
- Assessment & Discharge
- Your midwife monitors you and your baby — maternal vitals and fetal heart tones — throughout labor, birth, and the postpartum period. A complete newborn exam is performed, and you'll be stable, nursing, and ready to return home before discharge instructions are given. Most families are ready to go home 3 to 6 hours after birth.
03 · Postpartum & Beyond
The Fourth Trimester — the stage that gets the least attention everywhere else.
- Day 1 & 7
- Home visits.
- Day 3
- Virtual, or in-home if needed.
- 2 & 6 Weeks
- In the office.
- What's Covered
- Assessment of mom and baby, weight check, breastfeeding assessment, support at home, mental health assessment, pediatric follow-ups, birth certificate and SSN filed with the state, hearing screen referral, and metabolic screening.
